We are celebrating World Pasta Day with a ‘Fresh’ new Menu and a Truck Load of Chilli.
To celebrate World Pasta Day today, we are launching a new menu with a fresh slant. Since it began in 2007, our chefs have been serving up the freshest ingredients in their dishes to patrons across Scotland. The new menu will emphasise this and highlight the quality and freshness of the food, as well as having a new chilli twist.
Chefs currently use 54 tonnes of chilli each year, in our 15 restaurants across Scotland. The fresh new menu could see that doubling, as new dishes will include a spicy king prawn cocktail, made with the best king prawns and a special homemade hot sauce. As well as chicken thighs in a Tony Macaroni secret recipe marinade and a mixed grill, both served with picante potatoes.
There is also a new spicy breaded chicken burger, which comes with fresh chilli, homemade spicy cheese sauce, diced garlic tomatoes, jalapeño and spicy burger ketchup. New pasta dishes include spaghetti con verdure verde, a modern classic with fresh green vegetables.
Our Group Head Chef, Danny O’Donnell said: “We pride ourselves on making all of our meals from scratch, using only the best and freshest ingredients. This is hugely important to the our chefs, as we want to have a reputation for serving great quality, family friendly, fresh food at affordable prices.
“This new menu will highlight this, and will include a number of new dishes using one of our most popular products, chilli. Scots love chilli and we believe they are beginning to understand the health benefits of eating it. There is no regional variation to it, customers in all of our Scottish restaurants eat chilli by the bucket load!
“Customers don’t need to worry, we will still be serving the Tony Macaroni best sellers, including our carbonara, which is made with fresh cream, specifically for our Scottish customers; four cheese macaroni; pizza toto, made with chicken, Italian sausage and pepperoni and pizza pollo picante, made with chicken and fresh chilli, along with the all the normal Italian favourites.
